সুতান জঙ্গল 

(বারো মাইলের জঙ্গল)

ঝিলিমিলি এবং সুতান ফরেস্ট "বারো মাইল-এর জঙ্গল" নামেও পরিচিত মুকুটমণিপুর থেকে ৪৫ কিমি দূরে এবং বাঁকুড়া শহর থেকে ৭০ কিমি এবং ঝিলিমিলি থেকে উত্তর-পূর্ব দিকে ১৫ কিমি দূরে। বন জুড়ে ছড়িয়ে ছিটিয়ে রয়েছে ভিউপয়েন্ট যেখান থেকে শ্বাসরুদ্ধকর প্রাকৃতিক দৃশ্য মনে আনে অনাস্বাদিতপূর্ব আনন্দ। জঙ্গলে রয়েছে শাল, মহুয়া, শিমুল প্রভৃতি বৃক্ষের সমাহার। এখানেই প্রকৃতির ক্যানভাসে প্রচুর প্রজাপতির দ্বারা লাইভ পেইন্টিং সেশন দেখার সুযোগ আছে। প্রাণবন্ত সবুজ পোশাকে বর্ষা আসে এখানে। বর্ষার তালে বৃষ্টির নাচের সাথে শৈশবকে নতুন করে তোলার অভিজ্ঞতাও অনবদ্য। জঙ্গল জুড়ে হাতিদের জন্য একটি নির্দিষ্ট রাস্তাও রয়েছে।

ঝিলিমিলি রেঞ্জের মধ্যে সুতান হ্রদ ৭ কিলোমিটার। এখানকার বন বিভিন্ন প্রজাতির প্রাণিকূল এবং স্বতন্ত্র ফুল এবং মৌসুমী পাখি দ্বারা সমৃদ্ধ। যাত্রাপথে আচমকাই ময়ূর নজরে আসতে পারে। এই জঙ্গলটি ডুয়ারসিনির মাধ্যমে ডালমা ফরেস্ট রেঞ্জের সাথে সংযুক্ত এবং এর অসাধারণ সবুজের জন্য দক্ষিণ ডুয়ার্সের মতো দেখায়। 

Sutan Forest

(Baro Mile-er Jungle)

Jhilimili and Sutan Forest also known as “Baro Mile-er Jungle” is 45 KM away from Mukutmanipur and 70 km from Bankura Town and 15 km towards north east from Jhilimili. There are viewpoints scattered throughout the forest from where you will get breathtaking landscapes. You will be happy to have a talk with king sized trees like Sal, Mahua, Shimul etc. Don’t miss the chance to see live painting sessions by plenty of butterflies in nature’s canvas. Monsoon comes here in lively green attire. Relive your childhood with rain dancing with the Monsoon’s beat. There is also a particular road for elephants across the jungle.

Sutan lake is 7KM within Jhilimili Range. Here the forest is rich with different species of fauna and distinctive flowers and seasonal birds. To be the cherry on the cake, a vibrant peacock may come into your sight for a golden glance. Not only tourists, bike riders also live their moments while passing the road through the jungle as it feels like hilly terrain. This virgin forest is connected with the Dalma forest range via Dooarsini and looks like Southern Dooars for its unspoiled luxurious greenery.
